Nissan announced that its new NISMO 370Z, which is the sportiest vehicle of the Z lineup will go on sale shortly with a price tag starting from $39,130. The vehicle will offer only three options: special floor mats ($115), a trunk mat ($95) and illuminated kick plates ($200).
It should be noted that NISMO 370Z was developed by Nissan’s Specialty Vehicles Group in conjunction with tuning partner Autech Japan.
The all-new vehicle is available in one completely equipped model with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. It is powered by a tuned version of the company’s 3.7-liter engine, offering 350 horsepower at 7,400 rpm — an increase of 18 hp over the standard model. Peak torque is 276 pound-feet at 5,200 rpm which is 6 lb-ft. more than the regular 370Z.
“The NISMO name is known throughout the world as the leading supplier of race-bred, factory-tuned, extreme performance Nissan parts, accessories and vehicles,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America. “The new, second-generation NISMO Z proudly – and deservedly – wears the NISMO badge, carrying on the tradition of bringing racing- inspired performance and engineering to the street.”
The NISMO 370Z rides on unique 5-spoke Nissan-branded 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels (19×9.5-inch front, 19×10.5-inch rear) mounted with Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high-performance tires (P245/40ZR19 front, P285/35ZR19 rear). Bringing the NISMO 370Z to a stop are standard NISMO Sport Brakes with large diameter 14.0-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors with 4-piston front and 2- piston rear aluminum calipers.
