2010-subaru-legacy-europe-0The new 2010 model year Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback are already available in the North American and Japanese markets. The European premiere of the 2010 Subaru Legacy and Outback is scheduled to take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will be held from September 17 through 27.

According to Subaru the European market version of the 2010 Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback in comparison to the American counterparts will receive restyled front grille and a redesigned lower part of the front bumper, as well as larger exterior mirrors that will accommodate the turning signals.

In comparison to the previous model both vehicles are 65 mm (Legacy Sedan ) and 55 mm (Station Wagon) longer. The wheelbase is also longer by 80 millimeters, allowing passengers for greater rear legroom.

In Europe the power of the Legacy will be offered by a range of both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engines that will be fitted in the Legacy are a 2.0 liter and 2.5 liter one. Subaru offers only one engine of the diesel range for the new Legacy, a 2.0 liter turbo diesel that has an output of 150 horsepower.

The 2010 Subaru Outback, which is the fourth generation of a legendary car, is simply the crossover version of the Subaru Legacy SW. However, the vehicle has a better ground clearance and protective body cladding in the SUV style. The new generation of the Outback will be offered with a 2.5 liter four cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine. Some of the more fortunate markets will receive an optional more powerful engine, more precisely a 3.6 liter six cylinder petrol engine.
