BRABUS took the wraps of the new fourth-generation E V12 Black Baron sedan at Frankfurt in front of a stunned crowd. The vehicle based on the 2010 Mercedes E-Klasse W 212 is not only thought-provoking with its interior or exterior, but also has power figures, which are simply mind-boggling.
As it was announced earlier by the German car manufacturer the Baron comes with a number of major styling enhancements in order to improve aerodynamics, engine ventilation, and brake cooling. Some of the most significant updates include a revised front bumper, new front quarter panels, aggressive side sills, and rear wheel covers, as well as a trunk-mounted spoiler and a carbon fiber rear diffuser at the rear.
The power comes from a 6.3-litre V12 engine, the capacity of which is increased from the S600′s 5.5-litre V12. Due to the bi-turbo system used in the vehicle, it produces 588kW (800hp) and 1,420Nm of torque (electronically limited to 1,100Nm). Brabus E V12 is equipped with a reinforced five-speed automatic gearbox and a BRABUS high-performance limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40%. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds, while the maximum output is 370km/h (230mph).
Inside, the car comes with black leather upholstery, Alcantara headliner, carbon fiber trim, and a 400 km/h (249 mph) speedometer.
BRABUS E V12 Black Baron needed features a fully adjustable sports suspension, new stabilizers, a high performance braking system, and black 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with 255/35 (front) and 285/35 (rear) tires.
The company will produce only 10 units of the BRABUS E V12, which will be sold at a price of US$730,000 (€498,000) MSRP.
