
At the Tokyo Motor Show Nissan took the wraps off its newly redesigned 2010 Fuga, otherwise known as the aka Infiniti M. According to the manufacturer the vehicle is expected to arrive at the U.S. dealerships in spring 2010, however with a different name and a new set of badges.
The sales of this luxury sedan in Japan will start before the end of the year. At launch, the Fuga will be available in two different V6 engines, a 2.5-liter and a 3.7-liter with 328 hp.
Nissan has showed the hybrid version of the new Fuga at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. This version will be launched in the Japanese market from autumn 2010 and in North America as the Infiniti M35 Hybrid from spring 2011. The Nissan Fuga Hybrid will feature 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, high-power Li-ion batteries and a one-motor-two-clutch parallel hybrid system solely developed by Nissan. The manufacturer have not announced about any other details about the vehicle, but according to the company representative the hybrid model will, most likely, return a similar fuel economy to a compact C-segment car.
