2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible model is going to displace the outgoing CLK drop top and compete with the BMW 3-Series and Audi A5 cabriolets.
The convertible model will have an electrically manageable fabric roof in exchange for a stretchable hardtop while other changes over its tin-top sibling comprise the redesigned rear wings and trunk lid.
One of the distinctive characteristics of the 2010 E-Class Convertible is an ground-breaking diverting wind spoiler, which is situated on top of the front windshield. It is called ‘Aircap’, and works in combination with a rear deflector to helps to direct wind over the passenger compartment.
The drop-top E-Class has the same technology under the skin with the Coupe model with the primary engine lineup in Europe including three diesel and four petrol units.
The diesel range includes: 170HP E220 CDI, the 204HP 250 CDI and 231HP E350 CDI while the petrol lineup, the 184HP E200 CGI, the 204HP E250 CGI, the 292HP E350 CGI and the top-of-the line E 500 with a 388HP V8 engine.
