First Official images and details of the 2010 Volkswagen Transporter have leaked online ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show debut next month. The vehicle is currently sold in various regions of the world using different names like Eurovan , Caravelle, Multivan and California.
As revealed in the leaked images, the 2010 Volkswagen T5 model comes with several enhancements concerning the front fascia which now reminds us of other Volkswagen models like Scirocco and Golf. The new updated features of the vehicle also include a restyled front bumper and new side mirrors.
The interior of the new Transporter has also undergone a number of changes compared to the current model. This includes the upgraded instrument panel and the steering wheel.
According to some sources the vehicle will be powered with a new range of four 2.0 litre four-cylinder common-rail TDI engines. The engines have the outputs of 62kW and 220Nm of torque from 1500rpm, 76kW with 250Nm from 1500rpm, 104kW with 340Nm at 1,750rpm, and 135kW with 400Nm from 1500rpm. The vehicle is expected to be sold in two configurations: passenger or commercial vehicle.
Pricing and more details will be revealed closer to the new Transporter’s unveiling at Frankfurt next month.
