2011 LA Auto Show: BMW i3 Concept Debut

In 2011 LA Auto Show BMW unveiled i3 concept car. BMW i3 is the result of company’s hard work during a decade to bring a progression in car industry. This all-electric car is the first mass-produced car with a body made completely of expensive, lightweight carbon fiber.
The features of BMW i3:

  • 168-horsepower electric motor
  • Two-cylinder engine
  • 22-kilowatt-hour battery pack
  • Futuristic design

The greatest thing about BMW i3 concept car is its price: BMW is going to market it in less than $60,000. To compare the prices I should say that before this concept the cheapest car made of carbon fiber will be the $235,000 McLaren MP4-12C supercar.  BMW i3 is going to change the rules of the game and I like it. BMW expects to sell 30.000 BMW i3 annually; this means there is no veto of limited production.
